Thanksgiving Decor Ideas: Impress Your Guests this Holiday Season

Tuesday, October 30, 2018

As we prepare for the beautiful season before us, I'd just like to take a moment to share some helpful tips when it comes to Thanksgiving. I can't believe how fast this year has gone, and I'm so grateful for all of the amazing people in my life and the experiences we have shared together. Thanksgiving is a time for reflection and remembering all of the wonderful things in life that you're thankful for, but it's also a time of celebration. If you're planning a gathering this holiday season, here's my helpful guide on Thanksgiving preparation and what every home should have for the holidays.

Your Table Setting

Let's talk table settings. One of the main focal points at Thanksgiving is going to be your table setting. After all, that's where you're going to share what you're thankful for with all of your friends and family around the table. Make your table setting shine and embrace your unique style as well! Take a moment now to think about a theme. Maybe you want to go a more traditional route and keep your table setting simple or maybe you want to mix it up with a bit of edgy style. Some of my favorite table setting trends include:

  • Natural elements

  • Rustic chic

  • Fall floral

  • Holiday glam

No matter what your style, embrace it and dress your table to impress!

Versatile Dinnerware

It may be a good idea to find yourself a versatile set of China that will match your table setting. Many hosts choose to have a set for the winter months and a set for summer months, so that when it comes to setting your beautiful table, it's a breeze! There's no need to worry about which plates will go along with your décor. Simply find a set that can complement your fall colors. My tip is to keep it natural with some neutral tones or rich chocolate brown accents.

Centerpiece Glam

There's nothing wrong with a little glam! Your centerpiece is meant to be admired, so dress it up how you desire. Add a little glitz to the table with a glammed-up centerpiece and leave your guests in awe. You may want to try a modern black and white feel and add a pop of deep red or orange to grab attention in the space. Adding in some vivid color to the table helps to give the room a warm feel. Use your creativity to find the best centerpiece for your table, keeping in mind that it's meant to be a focal point.

A Warm & Cozy Space

Carry this warm feel throughout the home as you add in some neutrals and warm, vivid colors throughout. The focal point of Thanksgiving is the table, so dress it up and don't be afraid to take some risks with your style choices. Create that welcoming space in your home, where guests can gather and be thankful. This Thanksgiving, find the joy in others and emanate positive energy to all. Give thanks and continue to be grateful for each other this holiday season.
