Classic Black, White and Gold Living Room Design

Updated: May 4, 2020

This design has a fun story behind it, so I thought I'd share. Nine years ago, I helped a sweet family sell their home in Texas and then find their forever home. Their home had been on the market for over a year and they couldn't get it SOLD. The home was very neutral because they aren't fans of having any color in the home and unfortunately buyers and pictures (photos are what get buyers through the front door) love a POP of color. Pops of color give the home that warm inviting feeling. A friend told them that they needed to call me and that I could STYLE the home and get it sold for them and that is when all the fun began. I was honored they hired me and my team to list their home and we STYLED the home and got it SOLD in 11 days at full asking price. HAPPY DANCE! The buyers said when they saw the house relisted they didn't even think it was the same house, power for STYLING (YES:). Fast forward to about a month ago and many years of friendship, my friend/client sent me this picture as inspiration and said they still haven't furnish their formal living room and would love some help. Anyone else have rooms in their home that aren't furnished after years of living in your home? Trust me your not alone, it is so common especially for living rooms. Guess what, I can help you! :-) The best part of this story is that my client was about to spend $3,000 on a sofa for this room and I was able to design this entire space for right at $3,000. WINNING!

I pulled their fireplace from when they purchased the house and found the wood flooring color and created this design for them. What do you think? It still has that elegant, modern feeling because the GOLD makes the design look BOLD. I'm so thrilled that both of them LOVED it along with the kiddos. My heart is so happy that I can still help my clients even after the purchase of their home 9 years later. Do you have an inspiration picture you would like to share with me and I can create something special just for you? If so, please send me an email Heather@CainePremierProperties.com .
